With mysterious forests and attentive supervision, Vacances Léo Lagrange is offering an autumn holiday camp in the heart of the Vercors, from 20 to 25 October 2025, in Rencurel. Designed for 5–12 year-olds, this outdoor week immerses children in the unspoilt world of Les Coulmes: cliffs, beech woods, clearings and caves make an ideal playground to learn, get moving and be amazed.
On the programme, a careful balance between discovery and progression: climbing at a training site, caving to get to know the underground world, archery in the forest, den building, a “prehistory” workshop and animal track casting.
Nature activities punctuate the days, with quiet times to rest and share. All in a caring atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence and team spirit.
Base camp is the “Les Coulmes” centre, 158 route du Mont Noir, 38680 Rencurel: an ideal starting point for exploring the massif away from the crowds, with trails and terrain on a child’s scale. The attention paid to pace, transitions and rest times guarantees a balanced week, conducive to both progress and new friendships.
Because a stay is also about discovering local flavours, the children get to know Vercors cuisine: Vercors trout, Royans ravioles, Bleu de Sassenage. A simple way to bring together nature, culture and the pleasures of the table.
True to the Vacances Léo Lagrange spirit, the camp is built on active learning: experimenting, cooperating, respecting the living world. The activities skilfully alternate discovery of the environment, simple technical skills and group games, so that every child finds their place and grows in confidence as the week goes on.
The activities are progressive and designed for the children’s age; quiet times and hydration are built into the day. The climbing and caving sites used are suited to introducing children to the activity and call for simple technical skills, so they can learn with confidence.
