Finding funding

Your département council, local community of municipalities or town hall often offer holiday financial support. Parents' associations and school fundraising associations (“sous des écoles”) are also valuable allies: they can organise events to raise funds towards the trip.

Enfance et Montagne

An endowment fund for primary schools, for stays of more than 4 nights. The educational project must be linked to the mountains.

Ma classe en Voyage

La Jeunesse au Plein Air, Enfance et Montagne and the ANCV run a support scheme for discovery classes, covering stays of 4 to 14 nights for children aged 3 to 18.

ANCV Chèques-Vacances

You may be eligible for support through the ANCV (Chèques-Vacances holiday vouchers), under the JPA/ANCV agreement in favour of discovery classes and educational school trips. An application form can be downloaded from the JPA website.

Transport

For discovery classes from CP to CM2 (primary school) in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, transport may be funded by the region (Montagne et Parcs department: 04 26 73 51 39, [email protected]). Minimum stay of 5 days and 4 nights. We can send you a quote from the coach company Perraud Voyage, which is often very competitive; for train travel, contact the SNCF group service (08 10 87 94 79).

À la découverte des ENS

Schools, collèges (lower secondary schools), health and social care institutions and MFR rural training centres in Isère can apply for “À la découverte des ENS” support: 2 to 3-day immersion projects for collèges, and discovery of 1 to 3 Sensitive Natural Areas (ENS) for nursery and primary schools. Our centres are right next to the ENS sites of Les Coulmes, Les Rimets and Les Écouges, and the Hauts Plateaux du Vercors Nature Reserve.

Isère Collégiens

Offered to the 119 collèges (lower secondary schools) in Isère through “Ma découverte du milieu montagnard” and “Mon collège à la neige”: a grant for 2.5-day projects.

Trousse à Projets

The Éducation Nationale crowdfunding platform: supporting active learning, opening schools up to their local area and reducing inequalities through a solidarity fund.

Education authority deadlines

Schools in Isère: submit your application 5 weeks before the start of the stay (excluding school holidays). Schools outside the département: 8 weeks. Do not hesitate to submit an application even if a document is missing – you can complete it later.

Instructor accreditations

We can send you all the accreditations of the instructors involved in your stay. You will also find them on the website of the Isère DSDEN (local education authority).
