Vaison-la-Romaine – L’OuvèZe Loop Starting from Saint-Marcellin-lès-Vaison
The “Vaison-la-Romaine – L’Ouvèze” bike loop, starting from Saint-Marcellin-lès-Vaison, is a 44.2 km route, accessible to all levels, with mainly paved surfaces. After departing from CISC Ventoux, you cross the Roman Bridge of Vaison-la-Romaine, a symbol of ancient times. At 6.3 km, you discover a pleasant swimming area in the Ouvèze, before following an old railway path. At 11.8 km, you reach Mollans-sur-Ouvèze, a historic village. The circuit continues through Entrechaux, with its medieval castle, before ending your ride back at the starting point. The route takes about 2h52 to complete, with a positive elevation gain of 610 m.
Ascent of Mont Ventoux via MalaucèNe Starting from Vaison-la-Romaine
The ascent of Mont Ventoux via Malaucène, starting from Vaison-la-Romaine, is a 61 km challenge with a positive elevation gain of 1,690 m. The route begins with a beautiful climb, offering spectacular views, especially at 17.3 km, where the French Alps can be seen on the horizon. At 19.4 km, you face a particularly steep section, before reaching the Mont Ventoux Radome at 29.6 km, an iconic location in cycling races. You then descend towards Malaucène, before returning to CISC Ventoux, for a total of 4h47 of cycling.
Beaumes-de-Venise Loop – Beautiful Rock Formation Starting from Vaison-la-Romaine
The bike circuit starts from Vaison-la-Romaine and covers 52.6 km. You begin with the Roman Bridge (0 km) before crossing the ancient city. At 20.5 km, you arrive at the Chapel of Notre-Dame-d’Aubune, then at 21.9 km, you discover Beaumes-de-Venise, a village renowned for its vineyards and views of the Dentelles de Montmirail. After 23.6 km, you ride along the vineyards before tackling the climb of Col de la Madeleine at 38.6 km, before returning to CISC Ventoux.
Garden of the Nine Damsels Loop – Col De DéBat Starting from Vaison-la-Romaine
This gravel ride offers a 32.6 km route with 460 m of positive elevation gain, ideal for nature lovers and varied landscapes. The circuit begins with a visit to the Garden of the Nine Damsels, just 2 km away, a symbolic and artistic place. Then, at 6.97 km, you explore the pretty village of Roaix, bordered by the L’Ouvèze river. The highest point of the route is Col de Débat, located at 17.3 km, with its moderate slopes at 5.8%.
