Loop Station of RéAllon – Col De La Gardette Starting from Saint-Apollinaire

This mountain bike loop starting from Saint-Apollinaire near our Balcon des Écrins is a challenge for experienced mountain bikers. On a 29.9 km course with an elevation gain of 1,090 m, you begin with the balconies of Saint-Apollinaire (3.19 km), offering a panoramic view of the valley. You reach Réallon station at 10.4 km, nestled at 1,560 m altitude, before continuing to Col de la Gardette (20.2 km). The latter is a must for mountain bike enthusiasts, with a spectacular view and terrain that may require pushing your bike.

Loop Col De La Gardette – Aiguilles De ChabrièRe Starting from Saint-Apollinaire

This loop starting from Saint-Apollinaire is an expert mountain bike outing of 12.1 km, with a positive elevation gain of 780 m. The route begins at the Méans parking lot, then climbs to Col de la Gardette (5.86 km), a key point offering a magnificent view. Then, you reach the Aiguilles de Chabrière (8.05 km), a spectacular site, but difficult to access by bike, sometimes requiring carrying the bike on technical sections. The route ends back at the Méans parking lot or continues to the Balcon des Écrins holiday village in Réallon.

Lake Saint Apollinaire Loop

This circuit starting from Saint-Apollinaire is a 26 km mountain bike route, with an elevation gain of 1,380 m, intended for experts. It begins at Réallon station, a viewpoint overlooking Serre-Ponçon lake. You then continue to Lake Saint Apollinaire (9.4 km), an idyllic spot for swimming in summer. The highlight of the route is the technical and demanding descent of the “crazy single track” (11.7 km), followed by the balconies of Saint Apollinaire to end the adventure or return to the Balcon des Écrins in Réallon.
