Amidst mysterious forests and attentive supervision, Vacances Léo Lagrange offers an autumn camp in the heart of the Vercors, from October 20 to 25, 2025, in Rencurel. Designed for 5–12 year olds, this outdoor week immerses children in the preserved world of Les Coulmes: cliffs, beech forests, clearings, and caves form an ideal exploration ground for learning, moving, and marveling.
The program features a clever balance between discovery and progress: climbing on a training site, caving to explore the underground world, forest archery, cabin building, a “prehistory” workshop, and track casting.
Nature activities punctuate the days, with quiet times for rest and sharing. All in a benevolent atmosphere that encourages curiosity, autonomy, and team spirit.
The base camp is the ““Les Coulmes”” Center, 158 route du Mont Noir, 38680 Rencurel: an ideal starting point for exploring the massif without crowds, enjoying trails and terrain at a child’s level. The attention paid to rhythm, transitions, and rest periods ensures a balanced week, conducive to both progress and new encounters.
Because a stay also involves discovering local flavors, children will experience Vertaco gastronomy: Vercors trout, Royans ravioles, Bleu de Sassenage cheese. A simple way to connect nature, culture, and culinary delight.
True to the spirit of Vacances Léo Lagrange, the camp is based on active pedagogy: experimenting, cooperating, respecting living things. Activities skillfully alternate between environmental discovery, simple technical skills, and group games, so that each child finds their place and gains confidence throughout the week.
Activities are progressive and designed for the children’s age; quiet times and hydration are integrated into the day. The climbing/caving sites used are suitable for children’s initiation and involve simple technical skills, to learn with confidence.
